Kristen Scholl, Director
Kristen is one of the founders of Bridge of Hope Berks County. She has had extensive experience working for non-profit ministries, including Freedom Gate Ministries, Priority One Foundation, and Elm Street Ministries. Kristen previously worked in the corporate world at Sovereign Bank, where she gained valuable skills that she brought to her true passion of serving those who are in need. Kristen studied at the Word of Life Bible Institute, but found that her most valuable training and qualifications have come from her work in growing the ministries mentioned above.

Linda Matthews (MSS, EdD), Family Resource Coordinator/Community Development Coordinator

Linda has been with Bridge of Hope Berks County since July 2015. Prior to that, she has had over twenty five years of professional experience in higher education. As an educational leader, Linda has guided many non-traditional students through their undergraduate and graduate academic pursuits. However, with her background in social service, Linda has a passion for helping others achieve self-sufficiency. This is evidenced by her previous positions in corrections, public housing, and counseling as well as the many non-profit boards and committees she has volunteered on that specifically served women and children. She sees her role as a blessing and opportunity to utilize her strong counseling, presentation and interpersonal skills in “spreading the good news” about our ministry to churches in the area. Linda has a Master’s degree in Social Service from Bryn Mawr Graduate School and a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Wilmington University.
